Call for Art 2021

KAAW Art Contest

Prizes:

One finalist will be awarded $500
The finalist and juried selected artists will have a privilege to exhibit their art work at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea from Sep.13 – Oct.20th 2021
If applicable and willing, contest winners will be eligible to enroll as a member of KAAW.
Award winners will be announced at the reception on September 29th, 2021 at
the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle.

A Story of Korea from Your Heart

Eligibility: Open to everyone in age 18 and over.

Entry Fee:

$20 per applicant.
Check should be made payable to KAAW (Mailing address will be given upon receipt of application)

Artwork Specification:

Minimum of three (3) artworks must be submitted.
Minimum of one Artwork must address the given theme.
Only two dimensional media will be accepted.
Any medium ( painting, drawing, prints, photographs, mixed media,etc) is acceptable.
Dimension of each submitted work may not exceed 36” in both height and width.
Submitted art works must be your original work and ready to hang for the exhibition
Submitted images or photographs of the art work must be same as the actual art work.
If there is any change or discrepancy, it will be disqualified for any award.

Use of Artwork:

The original art works of finalists will be used for the exhibition at Consulate General of
the Republic of Korea from Sep. 13th to Oct. 20th of 2021. KAAW retains the right to use
all artworks submitted for publicity and promotion.

Submitting Artwork:

All application must be completed in full and submitted with the online application form below by July 31st, 2021.
Application package includes artworks, description of each artwork submitting and
self introductory statement along with photo files with the following naming of the files: LastnameFirstname_Title_Medium_Size(HeightxWidth)

Korea and supported / administered by the Korean Artists
Association of Washington state (KAAW).
